“Writing is thinking. To write well is to think clearly. That’s why it’s so hard.”
David Mccullough
Good writing requires two things: clear, incisive thoughts and the stubbornness to find just the right words to express them. And if there are two things that anyone who has worked with me will attest to, they are that I am incisive and stubborn (in a good way—mostly). I love the challenge of grappling with big, complicated questions, and I won’t stop until I’ve successfully distilled them into interesting, easy-to-read answers.
In college and graduate school, I studied economics. In my first job out of school, I analyzed market research data about video games and wrote client-facing reports. At JetPens, I write articles sharing my love and knowledge of stationery. No matter how big or small the topic, I am unshakably convinced that anything can be explained in a way that almost anyone can understand. It just takes a writer who is up to the task.
